ABOUT THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The historic town of Bowmanville is located in the southern region of Ontario. It’s a place rich in culture and history, with significant battles taking place in the area centuries ago.  Just recently, the town’s downtown area saw some major improvements ranging from new brick sidewalks, better roads, and rehabilitated light posts. Some might say that the community hast that rural town feel due to its large number of antique stores and merchants. But don’t be deceived. Bowmanville has a touch of modernity, from designer fashion boutiques, to shopping districts that house today’s latest innovations. Bowmanville also plays host to a large number of unique annual events that include, the yearly Fest and All That Jazz, Fabulous Fifties Sidewalk Sale, and the Apple Festival. What started out as a way to promote the town’s local shopping scene soon became integrated into Bowmanville’s culture itself.
